Nation-led stewardship
InawendiwinSTEWARDSHIP PROGRAM
Nation-authorized partnerships.
Recurring local funding.
We help Nations design and run the Inawendiwin Stewardship Program. Contributors who meet the Nation-set protocol are Inawendiwin Partners.
- Land and water
- Guardian work, water protection and monitoring, and habitat restoration.
- People and knowledge
- Youth training and learning that keep that care going.
- Community care
- Local care the authorizing Nation puts on its approved list.
A stewardship contribution and a relationship.
INAWENDIWIN
Relating.
Kinship. Relational accountability.
To one another and to Creation.
Inawendiwin is Anishinaabemowin for relating. The program is named for that teaching: money follows an authorized relationship, not a marketing claim.
Waaseyak Corp. supports program design, participation, administration and reporting under Nation authority.
THE CURRENT
Authority sets
the current.
Your Nation sets the protocol. Businesses make a written commitment, contribute regularly and earn Partner status by meeting those terms.
- 01
Authorize
The Nation authorizes the program, sets protocol, approves participants, and directs uses.
- 02
Design
Define the protocol, approved contribution methods, Partner listing requirements and funding plan with the Nation.
- 03
Join
A business or specialist signs the protocol and selects an approved contribution method.
- 04
Verify
Verify the protocol, received contribution and reporting before listing an Inawendiwin Partner for a stated period.
- 05
Steward
Contributions release only for Nation-approved priorities inside the three types.
Inawendiwin contributions support three kinds of Nation-directed stewardship:- Land and water
- Guardian work, water protection and monitoring, and habitat restoration.
- People and knowledge
- Youth training and learning that keep that care going.
- Community care
- Local care the authorizing Nation puts on its approved list.
- 06
Report & renew
Publish contributions and approved uses. Renew Partner status only for the period the protocol, contribution and reporting rules are met.
BOUND BY THE MANDATE
The split.
Businesses contribute under a Nation-approved formula: a percentage of defined revenue, a customer-facing contribution or a fixed annual tier.
The 1% remits in full to the Nation. Not taken off a Nation invoice.
Administered by Waaseyak. No Nation is treated as a signed client.
Contributions release only for Nation-approved priorities inside the three types. Before contributions begin, written agreements identify the recipient, handling arrangements and approval controls.

- 02
Build the stewardship program
Turn Nation-set protocols into agreements, approved contribution options and period-specific Partner listing rules.
- 03

NATION AUTHORITY
A Manitoba pathway.
Nations set the protocol. Businesses contribute on a recurring basis. Recognition is earned only for the period the rules are met, and it sits on a public register.
That is the Inawendiwin Stewardship Program.
Focus is stewardship programming. Inawendiwin does not operate the crews. It funds work the Nation approves. Read the program scope
START THE RELATIONSHIP
Two shores.
One relationship.
For Nations
Authorize the Inawendiwin Stewardship Program. Set rules, approve participants, direct uses.

- People and knowledge
- Youth training and learning that keep that care going.
- Community care
- Local care the authorizing Nation puts on its approved list.
Contribute under the protocol. Meet it to be listed as an Inawendiwin Partner for that period.
Request a Partner seatNow inviting Manitoba Nation inquiries and business requests for Partner seats. Written Nation authorization comes first. An inquiry does not confer Partner status.
PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The water
is public.
Know how the program works before you participate. Nations set the rules, businesses contribute, and reporting makes the use of funding accountable.
Recognition follows proof.
Nation authorization comes first. Contributions, approved uses and reporting must be documented. Partner status is earned for the period the rules are met.
A public Partner directory will follow approved, verified participation. Authorizing Nations will be identified separately from contributing Partners.
How accountability worksNot charity theatre. Not a marketing claim.
THE COVENANT / WHAT THIS IS NOT
The rules hold.
The Inawendiwin Stewardship Program, supported by Waaseyak Corp. under Nation authority. Nation-authorized partnerships direct recurring contributions to locally approved uses. Written agreements must identify the recipient and contribution-handling arrangements before funds are collected.
A stewardship contribution and a relationship.
Not charity theatre. Not a marketing claim.
Partner listing proves protocol, contribution, and reporting for a stated period only.
Not consent, consultation, social licence, Indigenous ownership, carbon neutrality, or a product-wide sustainability rating.
Contributions do not buy consent, satisfy consultation or accommodation, waive rights, or replace regulatory duties.
Waaseyak administers. Inawendiwin is a client file when a Nation authorizes it.
No Nation is treated as a signed client.
